Start with my value rangeYou're not ready, and you'd like the number to be higher when you are
Most owners are here, and it's the best time to find out. Your readiness read shows what to tighten up, from how much the business depends on you to clean books and repeat revenue. If you'd like help working on it, we do that too.

Your answers stay private
We don't publish anything, and we never contact your staff, customers, vendors or landlord.
One introduction, only if you ask

Questions owners ask first
Does this cost anything?
No. The value range and readiness read are free. If you choose to work with a broker later, they'll explain their fees before you sign anything.
Do I have to sell?
No. Plenty of owners use this to plan, then come back to it a year or two later.
Who sees my information?
Our team does. A licensed broker in our network does only if you ask to be introduced, and then it's one broker, not a list.
How is the range worked out?
We add up what the business earns for you (profit, your own pay and the personal expenses it covers), then apply the multiple that sold businesses in your category have typically gone for, moved up or down for what buyers weigh most, like how much the business depends on you. It's a planning range, not a formal appraisal.
How do you make money?
Brokers in our network pay us when we introduce an owner who asked for that introduction. The value range costs you nothing.
What if I'm years away from selling?
Then this is most useful. You'll see what would raise your price while there's still time to work on it.
Know your number. Decide later.

How we worked this out
We add up what the business earns for you: net profit, your own pay, and the personal expenses it covers. Brokers call this seller's discretionary earnings. We then apply the multiple of those earnings that sold businesses in your category have typically gone for, based on published U.S. sale data, and move it up or down for the things buyers weigh most: size, track record, revenue direction, repeat revenue, and how much the business depends on you.
This is a planning estimate, not a formal appraisal. A real valuation looks at your actual financial statements, customer mix, lease, equipment and local market.
